The Brazil international was taken to the\nEtihad Stadium to provide competition for another prolific South American star.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Gabriel Jesus is not obsessed with challenging Sergio Aguero\nfor a central striking berth at Manchester City and claims he would be just as\nhappy filling a wide attacking role. The Brazil international was taken to the\nEtihad Stadium to provide competition for another prolific South American star.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Plenty of competitive outings have been taken in, with 63\ngoals recorded across 138 appearances. At 23 years of age, time is still on\nJesus\u2019 side when it comes to nailing down a role as the main man for City in\nthe final third of the field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Aguero remains the favoured option for the No.9 spot at\npresent, with the Argentine still going strong as he approaches his 32nd\nbirthday. Jesus acknowledges that competition for places is fierce and says he\nwould be willing to play anywhere if it meant securing a spot in Pep\nGuardiola\u2019s plans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He told City\u2019s official website: \u201cI don\u2019t have a preference,\nbut most of my life I played as a winger or a second striker, never as a main\nstriker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cAfter 2016 I played a few games like that and after that, I\nstarted playing as a classic striker.&nbsp; \u201cMost\nof my time so far at City has been as a striker, but I also played several\ngames out wide. \u201cAgainst Real Madrid I played on the wing. Usually, when I\nstart as a striker, I naturally tend to go for the flanks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cSometimes I get scolded, but I keep doing that! He feels his game has improved since\narriving in England during the winter transfer window of 2017 and expects the\nexpertise of Guardiola to lift him to even greater heights in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The highly-rated frontman added: \u201cPep is very intense.
