May Yul-Edochie, entrepreneur and wife to Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie, has taken a stance against her husband\u2019s second marriage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The mother of four took to her Instagram page on Thursday to state that while she understands Polygamy as a valid choice for individuals, it does not align with her faith and \u201cfamily values.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
May also said she would not be \u201cnumbered as a wife\u201d, or \u201ccajoled\u201d into the polygamous lifestyle that her husband, Yul, has chosen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe ability to accept or tolerate challenges and problems in life is a virtue, and should not be misconstrued. There is no point making an already bad situation worse, hence the need to remain calm is crucial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI understand that we all have our weaknesses and limitations as humans, and I personally believe everyone deserves an opportunity to make things right when they stray\u2026 Forgiveness is divine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBeyond all the unnecessary facades, Polygamy is a life choice and no one should be compelled to accept it. It is something I think all parties involved should embrace willingly, and it\u2019s okay for anyone who chooses it. Some religions traditions allow polygamy and I have nothing against it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHowever, I am ABSOLUTELY certain that I will not be NUMBERED as a wife or be cajoled to accept a practice that does not align with my faith and family values,\u201d she wrote in the post.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
May\u2019s remarks come days after her birthday ceremony which was attended by her husband. During the ceremony, Yul went up to his wife on stage where he hugged and showered praises on her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
While the actor eulogised his wife, a member of the audience exclaimed, \u201cwhat God has joined together,\u201d to which Yul promptly responded, \u201clet no man put asunder.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The actor caused a social media storm in April after announcing his second marriage to his colleague, Judy Austin, as well as the birth of their son.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Back when the news broke, May reacted by calling God\u2019s judgement on the new couple.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
