Kelechi Iheanacho was on target for the second consecutive game as Leicester City came from behind to beat Brighton 2-1 at the Amex on Saturday night.
Iheanacho started the match up front with Jamie Vardy and gave a good account of himself by scoring Leicester City’s equalizer.
The Super Eagles attacker scored in the 62nd minute with a delightful chip over the goalkeeper after collecting a brilliant pass from Youri Tielemans. Kelechi Iheanacho has scored in each of his last two Premier League appearances, having netted in just one of his previous 17 in the competition.
Kelechi Iheanacho has now been directly involved in 10 goals [7 goals & 3 assists] for Leicester in all competitions this season. Iheanacho’s goal canceled out Adam Lallana’s 10-minute opener for the home side before Daniel Amartey scored the winner three minutes from time.
Iheanacho was replaced by Hamza Choudhury deep into stoppage time, while his national teammate Wilfred Ndidi featured for 90 minutes in the game. Following the victory, Leicester City moved to second on the log with 53 points.
